TJ’s Chicken Shawarma Bowls
Using pre-marinated chicken and other ingredients from Trader Joe’s makes this recipe simple and nutritious for a quick weeknight meal.
Ingredients:
1 package TJ's marinated chicken shawarma thighs
3-4 mini cucumbers, sliced
2 red bell peppers, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 container tzatziki dip
1 container feta, crumbled
Jasmine rice, cooked (TJ's frozen bags)
Indian style garlic flatbread (optional)
Directions:
1. Air fry chicken thighs at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes (check temp for minimum of 165 F).
2. While the chicken cooks, chop bell peppers and cucumbers to bite size pieces.
3. When the chicken is cooked, let sit for 5 minutes, then cut into strips or bite size pieces.
4. Cook 1-2 bags of rice according to package directions (1 bag for 2 people).
5. Assemble bowl: Put rice at the bottom of the bowl, add chicken, cucumber, and bell peppers. Top with tzatziki and sprinkle feta.
6. Pair with Indian flatbread on the side if you choose.
